A Solid, Custom Built, Secure Base for Your hot tub!

FAQ'S

Why does my hot tub need to be level?

Most manufacturers require a level position for warranty reasons and proper operation. I am supplying a method to achieve this goal.

Is "The Spa Level-R™" right for me?

If the area of choice for your hot tub has a slope or pitch, then "The Spa Level-R™" will correct the problem and it is made to appear to be part of your hot tub.

Why should I use "The Spa Level-R™" rather than a poured concrete pad?

Concrete and labor rates are expensive. A pad is usually poured with square corners. The exposed corners can create trip/fall accidents. A concrete pad will make a potential future move of your hot tub extremely difficult.

I want to place my hot tub next to my patio. What benefit is there to using "The Spa Level-R™" on a non concrete surface?

After the ground is leveled, "The Spa Level-R™" can be placed down as a support platform. This will keep your hot tub raised off the ground and away from moisture.

How difficult is it to assemble and install "The Spa Level-R™"?

"The Spa Level-R™" is designed to be assembled and installed by anyone. It comes in a kit with all parts and instructions.

How do I order "The Spa Level-R™"?

  1. Send an email to wegzee@verizon.net with your hot tub's BASE dimensions and corner sizes along with your shipping address.
  2. You will receive a response with PayPal information to complete your order. DYMECO does not accept credit card orders.
  3. You will receive an email with the FedEx tracking number when the platform ships

How do I measure the base of my hot tub?

Most manufacturers and retailers use the outside shell or cabinet dimensions as the size of a hot tub. Every base of every hot tub is smaller than the retailer's dimensions. Each leveling platform is custom made to the actual size of the BASE of your hot tub. Physically taking a measurement of the BASE of your hot tub is required to ensure accuracy.

  1. Place a straight edge against the right side of the BASE letting the straight edge extend beyond the front side.
  2. Repeat on the left side.
  3. Measure between the INSIDE of the right straight edge and the INSIDE of the left straight edge. This will give you one dimension of the BASE.
  4. Repeat from step 1 to determine the other dimension of your BASE.

How do I measure the corners of my hot tub?

Generally, there are three types of corners.

  1. Small round corners (baseball size) - 7 inches is the smallest corner that can be made.
  2. Large round corners (5 gallon bucket size) - 9 inch corner.
  3. Straight corner at 45° angle. Measure the outside corner length from end to end.

How do I level my platform?

  1. Adjust the four outer-most leveling glides until the platform is level.
  2. Tighten the cinch nuts to lock the four glides in place.
  3. Extend the remaining 14 glides to BARELY touch the ground.
  4. Tighten the 14 cinch nuts to lock the leveling glides in place.
  5. To ensure strength, do not lengthen the glides more than three inches.
  6. Included will be extra 4x4 inch blocks to use under the glide feet if more height is required.

How do I place my hot tub on the platform?

  1. Place a piece of pipe (1"-4" diameter) at least the length of the platform on top of the platform. This will be used as an axle or wheel to roll your hot tub in to place.
  2. Move the hot tub (on its side protecting the cabinet with cardboard, blankets or other soft material) close to the platform.
  3. One person should stand on the opposite side of the platform to keep it from tipping or moving.
  4. Carefully tip the top of the hot tub onto the platform making sure the pipe is between the hot tub and the platform. At this time there should be about 2/3 of the hot tub on the platform.
  5. Using the pipe, simply roll the hot tub into place lining it up on the platform.
  6. Lift one end of the hot tub slightly and slide the pipe out.

How will "The Spa Level-R™" help protect my hot tub?

"The Spa Level-R™" is designed to sit completely under your hot tub base. By raising your hot tub off a patio, you will allow water run off and air circulation under your hot tub. This helps eliminate a stagnant environment for mold and mildew.

What if I want to move my hot tub to a different location in my yard?

Since the "The Spa Level-R™" is made to be movable, you simply pick your new location, re-level the platform and place your hot tub back onto the platform.

How high will my hot tub be raised?

The hot tub will be raised 5" at the lowest end. There is actually no difference in height between a concrete pad or "The Spa Level-R™".

Are the 2' x 4's pressure treated?

I use CEDARSHIELD® wood preservative. This product eliminates the moisture content of the wood and makes the lumber harder. With little to no moisture in the wood, it will not rot. Please use the link to learn more about this product.

How much weight is actually applied to each leveling glide?

Each leveling glide is rated to hold 4,000 lbs of weight. Each platform has 18 leveling glides. Considering the weight of the hot tub with 6 adults, the average weight applied would be about 350 lbs. each.
