There is no better foundation for your hot tub than a concrete pad. Concrete pads, when installed, are typically poured with a pitch to allow for water run-off. That said, if your pad is installed correctly, it will leave your hot tub out of level. Soil erosion, poor drainage, roots and cracking may also lead to an uneven pad.
Most concrete on average is pitched 1/8” – 1/4” for every foot in length. When doing the math for your average hot tub that’s approximately 1.25“-1.5” off level. The Spa Level-R is the only product on the market that can raise your hot tub off the ground, protecting it and your pad from wood rot and mold, allowing you to level it safely.

Most importantly, many if not all the manufacturers site prep manuals discuss that the hot tub be installed on a level surface. It is also commonly noted that structural damage to the hot tub from incorrect installation, placement or inadequate foundation is not covered under the hot tub warranty and may, in fact, void it.
